Last weekend I had to call poison control. Wallace ate rubber plant. He was in his high chair by the back door and he just reached out and grabbed the plant and took big bites out of the two leaves he could get to. He can heft his weight around to move his highchair if it's not locked. He has since got more rubber plant into his mouth....
Poison control said rubber plant is an irritant. He may get a belly ace and he will have a sore throat. He had a little cough but not bad.
On Saturday I saw 7 hummingbirds eating out of the same feeder at the same time.
When we got home we set up a bleaching barrel and we planted seeds in plug trays. I personally planted yellow sweet banana peppers, mild jalapenos, red cherry hot peppers, big rainbow tomatoes, marigolds, columbines, snapdragons, orange habanero peppers, moon and stars melon and orange flesh honeydew melon. These are the starts that we will be selling to Tony's a really big farm stand on HW 70.
Our home garden is going to be outstanding!!!! Eggplants and tomatoes, melons, flowers, beans.... Ohhhh it is going to be great!!! I'm going to grow a ton of stuff to put up and pickle. I'm looking forward to canning my own soup and corn. I'm growing a red sweet corn!! I want to put up pepperoncinis and tomatoes... Heirloom tomatoes!!!
Wallace has learned to wave! He started really doing it on Saturday. Also, we can feel his newest tooth. It is his left tooth just next to his front tooth. It has looked like an angry canker sore for over a week and now you can feel just a tiny bit of hard tooth. Wallace is trying so hard to say hi when he is waving. It sounds kind of like hieeehhhaa.
He loves his Papa so much!!! At night he burrows his head under Dylan's back and crawls on top of his chest. It's so sweet and it has been keeping him off of me at night;)
We went to a penacostel church on Sunday that may not be for me. My friend Tiffany goes there with her family. The sermon was on the cross.... So I went into the nursery and let Wallace play with Mason, Tiffany's 14 month old son. It was good for Wallace to crawl around and play with toys. He is pretty bound to our tiny house out here. The weather has been rainy so he is in arms when were outside.
Today I made applesauce for the boy. We are almost out of food for him. On Sunday he ate nearly three jars of food. 1.5 jars of Papaya and then .75 of a jar of plum. He is such a good eater now!!!
We are nearly out of money this month so no more shopping. We have enough food to last us a few weeks do I'm not worried about that but we only have a few apples and one unripe mango for baby food. I have yam and broccoli, one plumb and one papaya in the freezer. I can always make him some carrots too. I love making his food!!!!
I have been invited to a baby shower on the Delta King. It is a paddle-boat on the Sacramento River. I am looking forward to it! I am already thinking about what to make for this new little baby... I think I will make him some toys. Cousin Jessica and I are going to meet in Marysville and carpool together for the rest of the day. Cousin Gena is having a birthday get together the following day so Wallace and I will most likely sped the weekend down in Solano County with family.
