Wallace and Turtle

Look at Wallace's outstretched tongue!

This is Turtle. I wanted to name him Tourtuga but Dylan insisted that the turtle's name is Turtle until Wallace names him. Wallace chews, licks, shakes, and hugs Turtle. He stares intensely at Turtle and gently runs his fingers across his shell.

Turtle is by far the toy that Wallace most engages in. He has a rattle that was once his cousin Chloe's that he will stick in his mouth and shake, but he is nowhere as aware of it as he is his turtle.

When we were in Long Beach I broke my sandals. It was very sad for me. ;) I glued them back together with some airplane glue That Dylan's Grandma Fran has. Both of our Birks are falling apart after nearly constant wear for two years.

Today Dylan and I wend shoe shopping. Specifically Birkenstock shopping. We didn't buy anything but we found what he needs at Famous Footwear. They have slim pickings as far as Birks go, but we found Dylan's size- 42. For some reason Birkenstock prints the shoe size right where it will be walked off on the inside of the shoe. I didn't see anything I like so I will keep searching. Maybe I will get some new Keds. The weather is going to turn cool soon. Some comfratable keds would be very good for my back!

Today I went to the library to renew the book "After the Baby's Birth" by Robin Lim. The book took over a month to get to me through inter library loan! I requested another book by her, a recipe book for pregnant and nursing mothers. These two titles are the only two out of her entire catalogue in any of the libraries world wide!  She has written about a half dozen books that I want to read. I looked up her books and they sell for hundreds of dollars. This Author is a hippy wisdom midwife out of Berkley California. I am going to try and contact Robin Lim and ask her to donate one each of her titles to the library system so that women like me can have the opportunity to read her books.
