Wallace is 7 months old today!!

On Christmas Eve we went over to the Halk's house to visit Heather who is hear visiting home for the Holidays. She teaches english in Jakarta Indonesia. We call her Tanta which is Indonesian for Auntie. We all painted ornaments. It was a lot of fun! These ornaments are mine, hung on my tree with care. I also made the paper garland out of Trader Joe's paper shopping bags.

This video was taken on Christmas Day. Wallace had all the new toys in the world but wanted this bag.

YAY BLOCKS!!!!!

Our friend Jackie Tanner gave this fun toy to Wallace.
This video is of my friends, Nick Applewhite, Dave Halk and Heather Halk beginning to play Wallace a Waltz.  These are the lyrics to the song.

The Baby Tree Lyrics
Artist(Band):
Jefferson Starship
there’s an island way out in the sea
where the babies they all grow on trees
and it’s jolly good fun to swing in the sun
but ya gotta watch out if you sneeze sneeze
ya gotta watch out if you sneeze

yeah you gotta watch out if you sneeze
for swinging up there in the breeze
you’re liable to cough
you might very well fall off
and tumble down flop on your knees knees
tumble down flop on your knees

and when the stormy winds wail
and the breezes blow high in a gale
there’s a curious dropping and flopping and plopping
and fat little babies just hail hail
fat little babies just hail

and the babies lie there in a pile
and the grownups they come after while
and they always pass by all the babies that cry
and take only babies that smile smile

take only babies that smile

even triplets and twins if they smile.....

Jason and Erin Halk- Wallace's God Parents. We went to the Halk's house on December the 26th for Jason's Birthday Party. It was a Sushi Party!!

Tanta Heather brought this outfit home for Wallace from Indonesia. It is such a beautiful garment.  It is a dip-dyed White cotton garment with a four color screen print. I think that this is a Dragon Head.
This is Wallace's First Christmas ornament.

Happy Birthday To Me! Photo Bomb

I have been very very busy this December as I imagine most of you have been. My birthday passed on December 10th and I had a fantastic week! I have lost 15 pounds since I had Wallace and this past week I got some new clothes. It was very exciting finding some clothes that fit me that look like me. I have been in a weird state since Wallace has been born wearing yoga pants and big shirts. I know I have more weight to loose but I finally am beginning to feel more like myself.

My family on the sleigh ride at Sylviville Christmas Tree Farm. We also went on the carriage ride. We had a really god time. Wallace looked at the ground rushing by almost the whole time. He would look up at us amazed and he would coo as if to say "WOW Mama and Papa look at that!"

These pictures are of Wallace opening his very first presents. Not to say he has never received a present before, but these are the first he has opened himself.

Wallace and Nickoli

This picture was taken over the Thanksgiving holiday. This is the entire McMannis Clan. Left to right on the top row is: Nate, AJ, Dylan, Eowyn, Jayden, Wallace, Jordan, Becky and on the bottom row: Brenda, Cloie, Alexis, Marley Dog, and Craig.

These next few photos were taken on my birthday in the UC Davis Arboretum. They are of  the tiles that  my Mama and I painted in the UC Davis Art Science Fusion workshops.  This bench is one of two at the entrance to the Oak Exhibit. We took a walk around the exhibit and it was really nice. We parked by the horses on the Davis Loop. Wallace seemed very surprised by the horses.

This bunny is my Mama's

This bunny was not made by my Mama or myself, but it is a bunny and it made me very happy!

This video is of Wallace rolling back and fourth on the living room floor.

This was the very first time that Wallace held himself up on all fours. We put him like this, but now he can get himself to this position by himself and rock back and fourth.

On Friday December 2 Wallace got four shots and one oral vaccine. These pictures were tacken just after at Mommy and Me. He had an ok time but he seamed really hazy. He played with this lion for about 15 minets.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday Wallace became a toy dragon. He would take toys away from his cousins and then climb on top of them, pulling more toys under him as he shirked in excitement. Wallace also chased his cousin Chloe all over the house in his walker. He would corner her and scream, and that scared her. Wallace was defiantly the dominant baby!

Today we went to the park and Wallace swung for the first time. He seamed to like it well enough. Nothing has been very exciting or made him very happy since he had his shots. Friday night Wallace had his very worst night of his life! He literally cried all night.
