MMMMMM MMMM MMMMMMM

Wallace has begun to say MMMMM MMMMM MMMM. He started yesterday. Also when he cries he says ma ma ma ma ma ma ma, it breaks my heart.

These are my last two tiles. The bench will be ready to sit on by my birthday.
Wallace can now roll back to front. He can flip over really easily now. He likes to roll all over the floor. This new found talent has made diaper changes quite a challenge now! Today I was changing him and he flipped onto his belly over and over again, it took minuets to change wet

Pruney little block feet

MMMMMM block
At Mommy and Me this week Wallace played with blocks. He tossed them, chewed them, herded them and swam towards them. He scooted into the middle of the block pile and slapped them behind himself. He is such a funny duck.

We began to let Wallace mouth on food. He has tried apple, grapes, broccoli, string cheese and carrots. He never gets a piece of anything to swallow we are just letting him get a taste of things.
MMMMM carrot
On  Friday and Saturday we went over to the Halk's house for sushi parties. We learned how to make sushi rolls and how to slice them. Sushi is surprisingly easy to make! We gave Wallace a carrot to gnaw on when we were eating. He loved it!

Today I discovered the video camera feature on Dylan's camera! Before you push play please be sure to turn off everything around you that makes sound. The video is of Wallace smiling and laughing. He is talking to me and trying to stand up in his pen. Wallace was able to pull himself up in his play pen a few times today! The icon in the bottom right hand corner of the video screen will enlarge the clip.

Wallace gets so excited watching the video of himself! He bangs his hands on the table and hollers in excitement.
Dylan's new hat

Just after I took the video Dylan took the platform out of his Wallace's pen. I feel much better about leaving the room now knowing that he can't flip out of his play pen!

This is my second finished rabbit tile.

My Mama's finished tile

This is my first rabbit tile- completely finished and fired!
There is only one session of the tile making workshop left. Tonight I came home with three tiles and some imagery. I plan on having Alexis, Jackie and myself carve them this week and I will paint them next Tuesday.

Rabbit Rabbit

This is my Mama's unfinished tile
These are my two rabbit tiles. The top one is ready for firing and the bottom one is not finished being painted.

When I was growing up the Nickelodeon network had a cartoon that they played every month that claimed saying "rabbit rabbit" on the first of the month would bring good luck all month. I have tried to remember every month for all these years.

Brand new sippy cups
We got Wallace these sippy cups and started him eating breast milk popsicles so that I can make my rabbit tiles on Tuesday nights. He was refusing the bottle and going hungry for hours! He would wail and scram in  hunger and anger until I got home to feed him. Now he reluctantly drinks some milk and has a lick or two of popsicle. There is supposedly much less hollering when I'm not home.

Wallace and I met up with my friend Hannah and her son Jethro {Jet} at Sylveyville for a picnic and to take a few photos of our boys. Jet is about seven weeks younger than Wallace.

Ace and Jet are such cool kids!

This hay was the first of many things that I have had to pick out of Wallace's mouth.

Chad and Amanda Hulbert!!!
Wallace and I went to Chad and Amanda's wedding on October 22. I had such a good time. We sat up on the stage with the wedding party! When I left I took a bottle of Champagne and a big piece of cake home, and Dylan and I sat on our couch drinking champagne and eating cake until 2 am.
This is Wallace's outfit that he wore to the Hulbert's wedding

We gave these erasures out to tricker treaters. They were not well received unfortunately. I would have loved an erasure as a kid, I would have kept it in my desk.

Wallace is 5 months old now!
Wallace has reached a wonderful stage where he grabs anything and brings it to his mouth. It is really fun to watch him grasp things with so much confidence. He sits up and plays with toys now. He will lunge himself forward onto his belly and reach to grab his toys.  At Mommy and Me he had his first power struggle over a toy with another baby. She just pulled it out of his hand! She gave it right back after being scolded by her Mama.

MMMMMM Grass

This is a fine mix of our Halloween Costumes

Wallace has outgrown his bassinet! Yesterday Dylan and I went the Burlington Coat Factory and found him this bad ass play pen. Wallace seems to like it and it has already made my life easier.
